Organic Groove — Galactic
The hottest young promoters in Tokyo, Phatleaf, are back with their continuing series of bootie-shaking organic groove. Organic groove is a homegrown American genre of music that mixes DJ beats with live instrumentation and funky, fast-paced jams. The upcoming show by New Orleans groove band Galactic is an all-nighter so the band should hit the stage around 2am. Galactic is heavier on the funk and lighter on the dance beats than other organic groove outfits and it’s a combo that’s sure to please funk, jazz, and rare groove enthusiasts as well as people who like to boogie in general.
