Message From (one of the) the Editor(s)

In an attempt to gain political asylum in an affluent, consumerist society, this magazine has often been hi-jacked by a gang of deviants of the worst kind — fetishists, amateur cartoonists, name-changers, etc. Nobody actually believes that such people as Bonanza Lazar, Irmgard Vonn, Suzi Wong, or “Dr” Stephan Hauser actually exist. Well, to cut a long story short, the plane has landed and the commandos have stormed aboard, releasing the passengers from their ordeal. From now on Tokyo YY will be serving Tokyo to you just like sushi — raw, refreshing, and uncooked with cynicism, over-elaborate irony, or “in jokes”. The medium is not the message.
